      How to test credentials (Cards, Fobs) for integration

      How to share information that eLocker can use to verify the level of integration with your access system

      In this article, we outline how to send the eLocker team information about your cards, which will allow us to confirm the level of integration that is possible with your cards.

      Overview

      1. Download applications to Android phone and test your card(s)
      2. Send screenshots from the NFC Tools and Mifare Classic Tool apps to your eLocker representative
      3. We will provide a free report explaining the type of card and level of integration that is possible

      Prerequisites:

      You will need to use an Android Smartphone. Unfortunately, this process cannot be carried out on an iPhone.

      You must have 'Use NFC' enabled in your phone's settings.

      Step 1:

      Download and install two free apps from the Google Play Store

      • NFC Tools
      • Mifare Classic Tool

      Step 2:

      Open the NFC Tools app. The first screen will look like this.

      Step 3:

      Present the Access Card or Fob to your phone. The app will read the data on the card.

      The screen should appear like this.

      • If this application cannot read the card, please let your eLocker representative know and send a photo of the front and back of the card. We may ask for a physical card to be sent for us to carry out a deeper investigation into your card

      Please take a screenshot of the page and prepare to send it to us via email.

      Step 4:

      Open the Mifare Classic Tool app. The first screen will look like this

      Step 5:

      Present the Access Card or Fob to your phone. The app will read the data on the card.

      You will see the popup at the bottom of the screen.

      If this application cannot read the card, please let your eLocker representative know and send a photo of the front and back of the card.

      Step 6:

      Press the Read Tag button while holding the Access card/Fob to your phone. You will see this screen.

      Step 6:

      Keep the Card/Fob against your phone and select the START MAPPING AND READ TAG Button 

      Step 7:

      The app will read the data on the Card/Fob and report it onto the screen like this. 

      Take a screenshot of this page, then scroll down and take more screenshots so that all 16 sectors (0-15) are included in the screenshots.

      This should be three screenshots.

      Step 8:

      Send these three screenshots with the one taken from the NFC Tools app to your eLocker representative

      • We will reply with a report highlighting the integration level available from your access card/fob with the appropriate eLocker application.
